Château de la Gallée, near Lyon . France .
This XIVth century castle was remodeled in the XVIIth and in the XIXth century. The dining-room had been decorated with wall-papers. the overdoors are historical pieces that had to be restored. On the walls, I have painted directly over the old wallpaper and created a very classical panoramic view with Italian pines and classical buildings. All the brownish areas are in fact the old wallpaper that I randomly left untouched .
The "Blue living-room" was more neo-classical. For this room I picked up figures from the Malmaison ( Bonaparte's residence near Paris) and neo-classical gustavian friezes .
